Cucumber Curd Salad

Easy to make cucumber curd salad that is high in protein, low in calories and is probiotic.

Cucumber Curd Salad (Dahi Salad) is one of the quickest, tastiest and most delicious dish that can be eaten in any season and at anytime during the day whether as breakfast, with lunch, or as evening snack.

The dish is rich in nutrition, has a high probiotic content, is light on calories and a good meal for those who are watching their weight and also those who are diabetic.

Please note that people who have a history of acid reflux should take this dish in moderation. Also, if you are using sour curd, avoid eating this at night.

Ingredients

For 1 serving.

  1. Curd (preferably less sour hung curd)
  2. Cucumber – 1 small sized
  3. Salt to Taste (preferably black salt)
  4. Onion – 1 small
  5. Coriander Leaves (Dhania) for garnish
  6. Sev Bhujiya (optional)

Recipe

  1. Shred the cucumber via a food processor or simply grate it using a vegetable peeler. You can also choose to cut it into smaller dices.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and coriander.
  3. Add salt as per taste.
  4. If you want to make it spicy, you can add chaat masala and half a teaspoon of chilli powder.
  5. Add the curd and mix well.
  6. Serve with a garnish of sev bhujia and coriander leaves (optional).

You can also choose to have a tempering of curry leaves, chilli flakes and mustard seeds.
